Green Dog Walkers Scheme
Ryedale District Council have launched a scheme known as the 'Green Dog Walkers Scheme' to encourage a change in attitude towards dog fouling and to encourage good practice amongst dog owners.
Green Dog Walkers are role models;
- Clean up after their dogs
- Carry extra dog waste bags
- Are approachable to 'lend' a poo bag to those that are without
- Are a friendly reminder to other dog walkers to clean up after their dogs.
Dog owners who take the pledge will play a part in keeping their communities free from dog fouling, and will receive a free collar and tag.
